“Do you think people will come?”

“Of course they’ll come. You are important.”

“Not that important. So many others have done so much more.”

“You’re wrong. They’ll come. I promise.”

“Do you think he will come?”

“Did you tell him?”

“No.”

“Then, how will he know to come?”

“I’m sure he’ll see it on Facebook or someone will tell him.”

“If you want him to know, you should call him and tell him yourself.”

“I don’t have his number anymore.”

“Email then.”

“Maybe you’re right.”

“I am.”

“I wish I could see him before. You know?”

“I know.”

“To see his face again, hear him laugh. To be in his arms. Just once more.”

“He won’t get here in time.”

“I know.”

“I’ll tell him. After. I promise.”

“Thank you. Tell him I never stopped loving him. Tell him I’m sorry.”

I legitimately just found out I might have a brain tumor. There is a lot of testing, etc. to deal with, but holy shit! I’ve been at a loss since Thursday, so forgive this odd conversation post. My life, I swear, can it get any more bizarre?

  1. I thought this was a really interesting post. Well written. Then I saw what you said at the end… I’ll be praying for you. Lot of people don’t believe in that but I do. I’m glad that the keyword there was MIGHT. I really hope they find out that it’s a false alarm or something.

      • We knew each other a long time ago. We were in love, but it was so new and he moved across the country. A few years later, I visited him and we made plans, but it didn’t work out. He moved on and then I did, but I never really did. I’ve loved him for half my life and probably will for the rest of it. We’ve talked but he says he can’t be “just friends” with me since I’m still in a relationship, so he doesn’t speak to me anymore. It breaks my heart and I know I’m the bad guy, but I can’t help how I feel.

      • That’s a difficult situation. I see your blog name in a whole new light. Well true love will always work out and if it’s meant to be it’s meant to be and all that other cliche stuff but it’s true. My wife and I of seven years almost divorced recently, but it worked out. It was weird…when I stopped trying to pursue her it seemed to help lol and definitely at least helped me. I hope everything works out for you too and it might not be too late but if it is at least you have your current relationship. None of my business I know I just hope everything works out.

  2. I don’t know if you are religious or not, but I’ll be praying for you.

My sister-in-law had a brain tumor scare several years ago. It was serious, but not as serious as first thought. May your diagnoses and treatment be successful!

  3. My mum passed away a year ago….My only wish was to see her. I haven’t seen her for almost 2 decades.l knew she was going in for surgery nothing serious and l was getting ready to go and see her when l heard the news that she’s gone.l didn’t have the chance to see her and hug her.
I will recommend that you tell him. Don’t think he can figure things out himself. l had known my mum will die…l will have done things differently. It has changed me.l’m not the same person l used to be.
I do hope you get through this with him by your side .Love has the power to heal.
You can email me if you need someone to talk lana.v543@gmail.com. Be strong!
